Jackson – Full steam ahead towards the Champions Cup
In a busy week leading up to the Vodacom Durban July, Brett has been in Durban, overseeing Jackson’s prep for the Grade 1 Mercury Sprint next saturday the 13th of July.
Jackson has been stabled at Summerveld in the care of leading trainer Dennis Drier. Jackson had a gallop yesterday on the grass and reports back from Brett and leading natal jockey Sean Cormack were very positive.
Jackson’s gallop can be viewed here http://youtu.be/B0ktkMtG-nI?a
Sean Cormack ,who has been booked to ride Jackson in the Mercury Sprint and the Champions Cup, had this to say, ” Jackson has really blossomed in the last four weeks. Week after week he just keeps on improving. He is a serious horse and his prep could not have gone any better. He is flying at home and I am really excited to ride him in his upcoming races. I would like to thank Brett and the owners for allowing me the privilege to ride him. I feel honoured.”
SEAN CORMACK – FULL OF PRAISE FOR JACKSON
Brett had this to say, ” Jackson is really looking great. He put up a tremendous gallop yesterday and I am looking forward to him running next saturday. He will not be fully fit, but it will be a great prep for the Champions Cup at the end of the month. Jackson was flat after the J&B Met and I must thank Ian and Jack for being patient and allowing us to give Jackson the time he needed to come back to his best. Also a big thank you to Dennis Drier for allowing us to stable him in his yard and to Sean Cormack who has been working him every day.”
JACKSON – BACK TO HIS BEST
Brett is still in Durban and will also be viewing yearlings for this weeks Sibaya Yearling Sale. With the added stakes race of R1 million for graduates of the sale, as well as many other added stakes incentives around the country, it makes sense to purchase yearlings at this sale. Brett will be viewing the majority of the yearlings. Any current or prospective owners that are interested in investing with Crawford Racing, can get hold of Brett on 083 455 6121
