Undercover Agent Runs a game 4th in Gr1 Sprint. Nominated for Gr1 Rising Sun Gold Challenge.

Undercover Agent ran a game 4th on Saturday among the countries top sprinters, finishing just 1 length off in the Gr1 Tsogo Sun Sprint at Scottsville. This race won in 2018 by the Crawford trained Bold Respect (finishing 5th this year in his first effort of the Durban Season), and traditionally favours lower weighted runners.

Carrying a massive 60kg, Undercover Agent jumped the smartest of the Crawford Runners and was right up with the pace, stable jockey C Orffer elected to let the colt use his natural stride and gathered momentum right to the line. The finish was particularly close with the first 3 placings to Sean Tarry, his 3yo Trippi colt Chimichuri Run finishing best of all to take the Gr1 honours.
